An Iranian film festival has commenced at the Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) in South Asian country's capital, Dhaka.

The main auditorium of the BNM hosted officials, cineastes and patrons at the opening day of the event on Friday.

The six-day ceremony marks the recent celebration of the 39th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Iranian film ‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia was screened at the event.

The Iran Culture Center in Dhaka and the BNM jointly arranged the festival.

The festival schedule includes the screening of two films every day until Wednesday.

Some other films to be shown at the Bangladeshi fanfare include ‘Sweet Taste of Imagination’ produced by Mohammad-Ali Hossein-Nezhad and ‘A Cube of Sugar’ by Reza Mirkarimi.
